Privacy Policy

Account & Profile Data: When you register, we collect your name, mobile phone number, work category, location (pincode or GPS coordinates), and optionally a profile photo.

WhatsApp Onboarding Data: If you register via our WhatsApp Business number, we receive your phone number and the messages you send during onboarding (name, pincode, job type). These messages are processed through the Meta Business Platform.

Job & Application Data: We store job postings created by employers and applications submitted by workers, including any notes or messages exchanged through the platform.

Location Data: We may collect your approximate location (via pincode or GPS) to show nearby job opportunities and connect you with local employers.

Device & Usage Data: We automatically collect device type, OS version, app version, and usage logs to improve platform stability and performance. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Account Management: To create, verify (via OTP), and manage your account on the Labourly platform.

Job Matching: To match workers with relevant job opportunities based on their location, skills, and job type.

Communications: To send job alerts, application updates, and important service notices via the app or WhatsApp.

Admin Operations: To allow Labourly administrators to manage user profiles, moderate content, and provide support.

Platform Improvement: To analyse usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and improve the app experience.

Meta Business Platform: Our WhatsApp Business account is powered by the Meta Business Platform. Messages you send are subject to Meta's own Privacy Policy in addition to ours.

Data We Retain: We store the content of WhatsApp conversations in our secure database to maintain your registration profile and conversation history visible to Labourly administrators.

No Third-Party Sale: We do not sell, rent, or share your WhatsApp conversation data with any third party outside of what is required to operate the platform.

Opt-Out: You can stop WhatsApp communications at any time by sending 'STOP' to our WhatsApp number or contacting us at hello@labourly.in.

With Employers / Workers: Your profile information (name, work category, general location) is visible to the other party when you apply for a job or post a listing.

Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers (cloud hosting, OTP/SMS providers) solely to operate the platform. They are contractually bound to protect your data.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by Indian law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

Active Accounts: We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active on the platform.

Account Deletion: If you request account deletion, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

WhatsApp Profiles: WhatsApp registration data is retained to maintain your labour profile. You can request deletion by contacting us.

Encrypted Connections: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

OTP Authentication: We use one-time passwords (OTP) sent to your mobile number to verify identity — no passwords are stored.

Access Controls: Access to user data is restricted to authorised Labourly staff only, on a need-to-know basis.

Incident Response: In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.

Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@labourly.in.

Correction: You can update your profile information directly in the app, or request corrections by contacting us.

Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of non-essential communications (job alerts, promotional messages) at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

Age Restriction: Labourly is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.

Updates: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.

Notification: For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or WhatsApp message. Continued use of Labourly after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
